AIGIALI
A diffrent, fabulous world waits for you in Egiali. You can get there either by boat from Pireaus and other Cyclades islands or by car from Katapola - Chora.

A walk from Choa to Egiali, going along the old road from Chora to Egiali is especially beautiful, passing the monastery of Panagia Hosoviotissa and the area of Kapsala.

Of exceptional interest are the monastery, the Byzantine monuments of Ioannis Chrisostomos and Panagia Theoskepasti, the Kapsala area, the abandoned settlements of Oxo Meria and Asfontili, and the ruins of towers from the hellenistic period, as well as the extraordinary natural scenery.

Egiali is a micro-world with three traditional villages Lagada, Tholaria and Potamos on the highest mountain of amorgos named Krikelos (821m). The villages are built over the deep basin and Egiali;s bay with its modern port.

Potamos keeps its traditional architecture intack and offers beautiful views. A large balcony looking over the Aegean sea...

Lagada is situated between rocky mountain sides and deep dales. Ita mountainous landscape stretches to Ormos beach. You can go there by car or on foot.

About an hour distance from Lagada, on Krikelos mountain there is the monument of Theologos, made in the early Byzantine times.

Further up the mountain is the historical chapel of Stavros.

The religious holy festivals are still carried out in most of these villages with full participation of the local inhabitants and visitors.
