Of course I have view this film back in 1988, I enjoyed it then, I have rediscover the film's Directional Cut, and now it happens to be one of my favorite films. In 1990 I followed the script and went to Cicily. Just after the second release something pulled me to Greece. I never made the connection to Amorgos, until this past summer. Finding the locations seen in the film was my pet project of the trip. Now I know for sure what inspired Besson! The venues in the film are just as magnificent as the locations themselves, all those who I introduced the movie are all fans now themselves and all said they will follow me next summer! What was interesting is how the locals at Amorgos, have mentioned how people from all over the world have visited their island because of the film. Again a wonderful film!
