The trip to Kalotaritissa was my best day in Amorgos. The bus drove us to the beach where a cheerful atmosphere was expecting us at the cantine. I loved the selection of music there! I like that place because if you are the type of person who wants their freddo under the umbrella in a sunbed or to hop on a cannoo you can do that, but if like me you also want a few hours by yourself with a book in a calm place you can hop on the boat and find yourself in a quiet piece of paradise at Gramvoussa... an amazing beach just 15mins from Kalotaritissa... If you are lucky you will have the chance to tour around the island with some amazing local guys and witness Amorgos well hidden secrets... I'll definately go back next year!
Okay, but some problems
I was staying in Aegiali, drove through the island to reach that incredibly beautiful beach... The minute we settled, an horrible, loud music came from the bar on the beach! I asked the barman if he was sure people liked that music. He answered back I was the only one who didn't seem to like it. So we packed our bags and leave that paradise. Such a shame! Luckily, in Amorgos there is plenty of wouderful beaches. But I wonder if something can be done against loud music on beaches. I can't believe people travel hundreds of miles just to find what they have round the corner, for example Rimini or Riccione here in Italy.
